Clinician Team Mentor- Clinician V LCSW

Job Responsibilities:

1. Routinely provides leadership and mentoring to peers.  As directed and guided by Outpatient Therapy Manager or designee the clinician team mentor will provide clinical direction on therapeutic strategies and time management strategies.  Assist with the transfer and assignment of patients. 

 
2. Consistently be available to monitor the daily schedule and assist the front desk with any difficulties with the OA and walk in process.  

3. Effectively assist in the training of new staff, primarily the electronic medical record system and best practice documentation standards.   

4. Consistently conducts sign off documentation to appropriate staff as assigned within a timely manner.  Adherence to best practice standards of documentation and ability to provide feedback to staff in this area.  As well as timely completion of documentation sign off based on the regulations set forth by those regulatory bodies.

5. Daily availability to answer questions from peers on clinical concerns as well as challenges that may present themselves.  

6. Routinely provides monthly, one-hour clinical supervisions to assigned OPT staff.

7. Regularly assists in twice monthly staff meetings to provide education and training to staff. Will co-lead meetings, when needed. 

8. Competently functions as a member of the Outpatient Therapy Team.  Provide outpatient therapy to culturally diverse population for clients with both substance abuse and mental health related diagnoses.

9. Actively provides support in facilitating psychiatric services and Baker Act procedures as appropriate. When available participate as an active member of the Crisis Response Team. 

10. Routinely demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to complying with CARF standards 
11. Be a productive member of outpatient therapy team as evidenced by 90% of time being direct service. Ability to manage caseload with 228 face to face service and 51 non-face to face services each quarter.

12. Effectively provides individual, group, and family therapy as scheduled and as indicated in the treatment plan/program plan. Consistently uses individual, group and family therapy practices that are research and evidence based. 

13. Consistently provides treatment to individuals (children, families, and adults) with a substance abuse / dependency or co-occurring diagnosis in an outpatient setting. 

14. Reliably deliver quality services to patients in person and/or via the currently approved platform by which tele-services will be offered to patients of SalusCare.

15. Reliably complete appropriate referrals to other providers for patients with disorders that are contraindicated for tele-services.

16. Consistently displays cultural competence and sensitivity and ensures services provided incorporate client – specific cultural values. 

17. Accurately completes outcome measures timely and correctly.

18. Regularly engage in peer review.  Minimum of two charts reviewed per clinician, per month.

19. Promptly attend to any deficiencies in paperwork as identified through audits or quality review.

20. Reliably develops treatment plan in conjunction with client based on client-centered strengths, needs, abilities and preferences. 

21. Routinely involve family/collateral's in treatment planning and ongoing treatment, as appropriate.

22. Successfully conducts treatment plan reviews with client as needed and without appropriate time frames. MH reviews are due every quarter and SA reviews are done every 30 days.
  
23. Reliably provides excellent customer service as evidenced by being on time for appointments, returning phone calls within 24 hours and 90 percent satisfaction on client satisfaction surveys.

24. Consistently adhere to standards of clinical documentation, client rights, and confidentiality.

25. Accurately completes paperwork in accordance with Agency policy and procedure, contract agencies, DCF, CARF, DOC, AHCA, insurance companies and other monitoring groups.

26. Effectively coordinates care to include communication with outside agencies, making referrals as needed, and providing case management services as indicated.

27. Regularly notifies supervisor and obtains approval as indicated in the employee handbook, of scheduled vacation time.

28. Regularly participate in staff development activities.

29. Consistently maintain compliance with required training as per Saluscare and other regulatory bodies.  

30. Will attain competence with the company electronic medical record system and use it effectively within required time frames.

31. Successfully completes other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field. 
  • Valid Florida LCSW License required. 
  • One (1) year combined experience working with children, families, adults and adults who have a mental health or substance abuse related diagnosis. 
  • Experience and knowledge in working with individuals who have co-occurring disorders (MH/SA). 
  • Good understanding of systems theory and other evidenced based practices. 
  • Ability to communicate well with mentor peers on clinical and other issues. 
  • Computer skills in Windows operating systems required. 
  • Ability to navigate and teach in the electronic medical record system.
