Job Responsibilities:
1. Daily contact with individuals accessing services to verify pay source, financial eligibility and demographics.

2. Calculate and verify discounts according to the sliding fee scale.

3. Set up payment plans, as appropriate.

4. Work daily schedules of assigned providers.

5. Identify opportunities to increase insurance billings.

6. Maintain accurate files of correspondence.

7. Return all voice mail messages by days end and follow-up accordingly.

8. Demonstrate an understanding and respect for cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with consumers of SalusCare, Inc. services.

9. Promote internal and external customer satisfaction through the use of exceptional customer service skills.

10. Maintain compliance with staff development training.

11. Serve as a resource about SalusCare, Inc. for visitors seeking a staff person or location.

12. Routinely demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to complying with CARF standards.

13. Will attain/maintain competency with agency electronic health record and use it effectively within required time frames.

14. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Requires six months of work experience in a medical office environment. Experience with direct patient contact and a working knowledge of insurance is preferred.
