Job Responsibilities:
1. Consistently prepares or assists with the cooking, serving, and cleaning of patient and/or staff meals as directed.
2. Effectively follows menus and maintains substitution list as directed.
3. Routinely assists with the overall cleanliness of dishes and dish room.
4. Dependably assists with tray line as directed.
5. Handles delivery of bulk food carts to the Evans and TLC campuses and courier service between campuses, as directed. 
6. When driving consistently adheres to all traffic and company safety rules when driving.
7. Reliably maintain kitchen safety by keeping floors clear of spills (water, grease and oil), boxes, and other food items.
8. Carefully labels food with proper dates.
9. Consistently maintains rotation of stock when selecting items and restocking shelves.
10. Continuously maintains logs of food temperatures, refrigerator and freezer temperatures, sanitizing, dishwasher temperature, kitchen maintenance and cleaning, and food transport container cleaning, etc.
11. Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and cookware.
12. Effectively and appropriately communicates with peers and supervisor as needed.
13. Routinely maintains flexibility with work schedule and assist with coverage as needed.
14. Consistently demonstrates an understanding and respect for cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients of SalusCare services.
15. Regularly maintains compliance with staff development training.
16. Successfully completes other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. (1) One year cooking or food preparation experience in a kitchen/food service or similar setting preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English required.  Valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record required current auto insurance preferred. Must have a Food Handler Certification or successfully obtain within 90 days of hire.
