Job Responsibilities:
1. Effectively answers phones in a responsible, courteous manner, directs calls appropriately and accurately records phone messages.

2. Routinely greets guests, staff and patients at the door respectfully and is knowledgeable of the facility’s function.

3. Satisfactorily maintains team effort in the front office and effectively communicates with patients and staff when scheduling admissions.

4. Accurately schedules all admissions.

5.   Successfully prepares and maintains files and pulls charts in preparation for patient admissions.

6.   Effectively is responsible for maintaining the BED MANAGER/Waiting List, keeping it current and accurate with scheduling admissions and discharges.

7. Routinely maintains open communication with staff and administration.

8. Customarily assists clinical staff with typing, filing, and mailing correspondence within agency.
 
9. Effectively works with program directors and co-workers to make appropriate changes to ensure productivity and efficiency.  

10. Reliably works hours that are needed to ensure needs of office and staff are met. 

11. Consistently promotes an overall professional presentation to co-workers, patients, and patients collateral sources.  Conducts self in professional and ethical manner with co-workers and patients.  

12. Routinely willing to assist supervisors and co-workers.    

13. Consistently assumes additional responsibilities and is capable of handling difficult situations with a minimum of conflict.   

14. Routinely demonstrates good attendance and reliability by doing the following: consistently reports to work on time; reliable work performance; no abuse of leave/PTO policy; adequately plans leave and makes every effort to cover responsibilities and coordinates training/workshops/meetings with supervisor as necessary.  

15. Routinely demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to complying with CARF standards.

16. Effectively attains competence with company electronic medical record and use it effectively within required time frames.

17. Consistently displays cultural competence and sensitivity and ensures services provided incorporate patient-specific cultural values.

18. Successfully performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
Requires a High School diploma/equivalent. Prefer One (1) year direct-care experience in a behavioral health, human services, corrections, mental health or related field OR The successful completion of the equivalent of 30 semester/credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in health, behavioral health, human services or a related field, but this is not required. Requires knowledge of basic computer software programs. Must be able to attain competency with company electronic health record and use it effectively within required timeframes.
