Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide outpatient therapy to culturally diverse population for clients with both substance use and mental health related diagnoses.

2. Effectively assess and evaluate children, adolescents, adults and older adults for either mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorders and document to best practice standards.  

3. Effectively provides individual, group, and family therapy as scheduled and as indicated in the treatment plan/program plan. Consistently uses individual, group and family therapy practices that are research and evidence based. 

4. Provides treatment to individuals (children, families, and adults) with a substance/use/dependency or co-occurring diagnosis in an outpatient setting.

5. Consistently displays cultural competence and sensitivity and ensures services provided incorporate client – specific cultural Values. 

6. Complete outcome measures timely and correctly.

7. Regularly engage in peer review.  Minimum of two charts reviewed per clinician, per month.

8. Promptly attend to any deficiencies in paperwork as identified through audits or quality review.

9. Develop treatment plan in conjunction with client based on client-generated goals and needs.

10. Involve family/collaterals in treatment planning and ongoing treatment, as appropriate.

11. Conduct treatment plan reviews with client as needed, or minimally every 90 days.

12. Provide excellent customer service as evidenced by being on time for appointments, returning phone calls within 24 hours and 90 percent satisfaction on client satisfaction surveys.

13. Consistently adhere to standards of clinical documentation, client rights, and confidentiality.

14. Routinely demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to complying with CARF standards for the Outpatient Therapy Program.

15. Complete paperwork in accordance with Agency policy and procedure, contract agencies, DCF, CARF, insurance companies and monitoring groups.

16. Coordination of care including making referrals as needed, and providing case management services as needed.

17. Provide support in facilitating psychiatric services and Baker Act procedures as appropriate.

18. Be a productive member of outpatient therapy team as evidenced by 70% of time being direct service.

19. Notifies supervisor and obtains approval as indicated in the employee handbook, of scheduled vacation time.

20. Regularly participate in staff development activities.

21. Consistently maintain compliance with required training as per Saluscare and Department of Children and Families.

22. Will attain competence with Anasazi software and use it effectively within required time frames.

23. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a mental-health curriculum and an active Florida license required – must be an LCSW.  A minimum of 1year of experience working with individuals with mental health, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders.
